We are the Limestone Dust Poetry Festival, founded in 2002 by a group of local poets seeking to come together to celebrate the art of poetry and the various poetry movements in our community. We existed as a yearly festival from 2002 to 2010 and showcased many talented poets over the course of a decade. Our time was glorious and all too short, hosting our final event in the Fall of 2010. Now, thanks to a wonderful program from the State Poetry Laureate, we are rising from the dust to celebrate the art of poetry again, this time as a regional festival.
